This event is held to provide a platform for all foreign students from different regions and countries, to introduce and exhibit their own culture to all teachers and students at JUFE. The festival includes preparing food, stage performances and other activities as country representatives. In this year’s edition countries that took part in the event were Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Jamaica, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Albania, Afghanistan, Benin, Poland, Brazil, Ukraine, Russia, Czech Republic, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Laos and Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe was represented by Brian Mufara and Marvellous Musiyiwa who are both International Masters in International Business (IMIB) students. The two are also the first ever Zimbabwean students at the institution which is located in Nanchang city, Jiangxi Province and both are on Scholarships facilitated by the Zimbabwe Youth Council.
Despite the numerical disadvantage in which other countries had five or more representatives, Zimbabwe managed to scoop the second prize at the festival with Pakistan getting the pole position. The Zimbabwean dishes proved to be the most famous food items on exhibit due the high demand and did not last 30minutes upon unveiling. The dishes included Sadza. The Zimbabwean team also perfomed a traditional song on stage.
